Marietta Housing Authority Imitative for Homeownership Opportunities In Marietta (MIHOM - "My Home") provides eligible homebuyers with down payment and closing cost assistance to purchase homes located within the city limits of Marietta. 

The assistance is provided in the form of a deferred payment, 0% interest loan.  A deferred loan means there are no monthly payments.  It also means that the assistance is repaid only when the home is sold, refinanced or title is otherwise transferred.

The assistance program is open to Teachers, Police Officers and Fire Fighters who have been employed full-time by the City of Marietta or city of Marietta Schools system for the last 6 months.  The program is also available to other full-time employees of the City of Marietta, Marietta City Schools and Marietta Housing Authority.
